Catching Point : Heap relates that Sigsworth invited her to his studio to write lyrics for a four-bar motif he had, with the condition that she include the word "love" somewhere. The first line she came up with was "lung of love, leaves me breathless"; thus the Details album track "Flicks" was born. And though the band itself gone vacuum in 2003, but they did stated there's chance to make another collaboration anytime soon. Meanwhile, they're busy making their own project.

Born in : 1986 as Stéphanie Sokolinski in Bordeaux to a polish family.
Started her music career in : 2007, when she achieved a hit single in Denmark with her song I'll Kill Her after the radio program The Black Boy Scouts began to promote it. The song was also a hit in Australia, Netherlands, Germany & Belgium. And featured in Stella McCartney's fashion show in Paris. While she's nominated for a César Award in 2010 after started her acting career in 2002


Catching Point : Her shooting voice bring a fresh air when she actually sings a folkrock. Most of her songs are sing in English and bear a rather cute/ironic/a lil'bit wild lyrics to her songs. She writes about her being totally vegan, wild, unpredictable and half of any kind :p As a live performer, she is unpredictable and never utilises a set list. She sometimes plays up to 3 hours by herself, in intimate and quiet venues.On January 19, 2009 Soko stated on her MySpace page that she was quitting music and is 'dead', writing that she was scared of the music industry and wanted to return to acting. In August of the same year, she declared that she was 'reborn' and writing songs such as "I'm So Ready To Be A Good Man" where she writes: "in my battle with the demons I just had to die coz they're way too evil and I couldn't fight". She later referred to the pressure of the music industry, before declaring that she was "having a new heart and being ready to be a new man".

Where The Wild Things Are [OST]

Catching Point : "Where The Wild Things Are" is a movie based on a famous classic children story by Maurice Sendak. It was about an imaginary world made f loneliness. A world Max created and which his about to conquer. The journey to find where love truly is. So there was anger and sadness. also lots of fun join together. Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs put up all the sound to make this soundtrack such a crunchy one. With the chanted and heavy song "Capsize" consisting of ritual clapping a howled vocals. And the slow, somewhat depressing track "Hideaway", Swapping back to the upbeat songs the soundtrack jumps too "Heads Up", a song just as happy and joyous as "All Is Love", or its reprise "Building All Is Love". This soundtrack, nearly a standalone album, is definitely a rollercoaster of emotion and excellent sounds. Get this one out and flow with Max's journey..

Catching Point : The Movie is more like a pseudo "love stories" that aren't really love stories at all. And the music nicely represent the atmosfer. There are so many good musics in this album. Most of them swim in indiepop area, but some raise an alternative. Almost each of 'em are unique and hold a visceral emotions. Finding middle ground between uber-indie pretension and sing-a-long pop epiphanies the soundtrack has a little bit here for everyone and never drowns in its own self importance. The movie itself carries some music that are not included in the album such as The Pixies - Here Comes Your Man (sang by Thomas in the karaoke bar scene). But overall it's a must have album for you who is fallin to indie, whether you watch the movie or not :)
